AWD ALLIANCE LAUNCHES NEW SUPPLIERS PORTAL

15/02/2007

The AWD Alliance is delighted to announce the Program's engagement with the Industry Capability Network (ICN) and the launch of the new AWD Alliance Supplier Portal.

Responding to Supplier feedback, the AWD Alliance has launched a more advanced Supplier Portal that provides Suppliers with more flexibility to promote their services and control their information.

The new Supplier Portal also enhances the Alliance’s ability to efficiently collect and retrieve data on the companies that wish to register their interest in the AWD Program.

What the new Portal provides:

  • Suppliers will have the capability to control their own information, including updating their records. This means the AWD Alliance will always have access to the most up-to-date information.
  • Suppliers will be able provide a greater range of information on their organisations’ capabilities making it easier for the AWD Alliance to determine who can best meet its needs.
  • AWD Personnel will be able to capture a greater range of industry information and have access to better mechanisms with which to search the data.
  • ICN has years of experience working with Australian and New Zealand industry and offers a highly capable database infrastructure to ensure leading Australian and New Zealand suppliers are fairly promoted for all levels of the Program.
  • The AWD Alliance’s agreement with ICN will guarantee all suppliers in the market ‘a fair playing field’ when competing for work with the AWD Program.

This sophisticated supplier registration portal will be hosted by ICN on behalf of the AWD Alliance.

To log your details on the new Supplier Portal and register your interest in one of the most significant ship building projects ever undertaken in Australia, click on the Supplier Registration link.

The AWD Program will provide vast opportunities for Australian industry with significant work for sub-contractors throughout the country. A key aim of the AWD Program is to help ensure the sustainability of the Australian shipbuilding and repair sector. The ships will require the assembly of approximately 500,000 components and the engagement of hundreds of companies throughout Australia.
